About Us
Dragonfly Dreams is a family run indoor sleepover company based in Ferndown.
Family and friends are at the heart of everything we do, as mums we know that the best bits about childhood are the memories made from fun and magical moments that spark imagination, but also we know that planning a special party can take time, so we aim to take this stress away with our themed sleepovers, all you need to do is provide some space, children and some pj’s and it will be magically transformed into a sleepy paradise helping to make memories that they can hold on to forever. Whether its Unicorns, Gaming, a bit of Movie Magic or Festival vibes, our parties can be tailored to your exact requirements. We cater for both boys and girls aged between 5 and 15 and even have daytime hire options for pre-schoolers aged 3-5.
Although fun is at the top of our agenda for the children, behind the scenes safety is our priority and our beautiful A Frame tents and Teepees are fully UKCA tested. We have full public liability insurance and have completed our Food Safety Hygiene Level 2 and Infection Control and prevention to ensure that we are keeping your little ones as safe as they can be.
I’m sure, like me, you’ll all have fond memories about childhood sleepovers and Birthday Parties. As a mum of three boys and a step daughter I have always loved organising my own children’s birthday parties making them extra special and memorable.
I have always worked with children, since I qualified as a Primary School Teacher taking a break from full time teaching to become a holiday and after school activity, trip and party planner for up to 150 children at a time, before returning to teaching. For the past 9 years I also work for a local children’s hospice, providing care through play, such a privileged position to hold. So, you could say I have a fair amount of experience under my belt. I learn something new from children every single day and seeing the look of joy on children’s faces as they enter a transformed room makes all the behind-the-scenes hard work worth it.
Since the arrival of our baby last year, I have decided to set up Dragonfly Dreams using my passion for play, imagination and making memories to start a creative and fun business in which my children can use their expertise to get involved too. The humble sleepover has never looked so good.

They absolutely loved it- their little faces lit up as soon as they saw it. So much attention to detail had gone into it. The delivery/collection service was excellent as were the pictures and instructions to set it up (due to Covid restrictions). I would highly recommend to anyone for parties or as we have done just a little treat for a little person in your life.”

“Wow! What a wonderful experience for my two kids during half term from discussing themes to booking, Nicky has been absolutely amazing. Due to COVID restrictions Nicky did a contactless drop off along with the most comprehensive but easy to follow instructions on how to put everything up. Every little detail had been thought of, even down to spare bulbs and batteries for the lights. She’s clearly passionate about this and it shows through her level of detail.
